CerMark™ and TherMark Metal Marking Compounds Overview
CerMark™ and TherMark metal marking compounds, available in spray, paint or tape, are applied to the surface of a metal to produce high contrast, indelible laser marks. Both CerMark and Thermark are specifically designed to be processed with a 10.6 or 9.3 micron CO2 laser. Once the compound has been properly applied, laser energy is used to thermally adhere ceramic particles in the coating to the metal surface. After laser marking is complete, the excess coating is washed away with water, leaving behind a detailed, durable, black mark.
